Inside the image.
A square cover shows a group of simplified human figures scattered across a pale, cloudlike blue and white ground. The figures are made from white paper-like silhouettes, some flat and featureless, others overlaid with fine black musical staves and notes. They appear to stride, reach or balance, with arms extended and legs set at different angles. The largest figure is near the centre, beneath the title; smaller figures overlap the lower edge and the left and right sides. Dark, angular shapes and patches of green, blue and orange sit beneath and between them, like cast shadows or cut-paper forms.
The background shifts from a muted lilac-pink at the upper left through blue-green at the upper right and into brighter turquoise and white below. Soft, hazy transitions give it an airy, open appearance, though the crowded silhouettes and their overlapping legs fill much of the lower half. There is no visible border. The figures are arranged at different heights and scales, creating a shallow impression of depth without a clearly defined setting.
Across the top, the word “sain” appears in large, thin, lowercase green letters. Below it, a dark blue cursive “y” curves diagonally. “CORAU” dominates the upper centre and right in very large white uppercase letters with a soft grey shadow or edge. A small block of green uppercase lettering sits above “CORAU” at the upper right; it appears to contain two lines, but is too small to read confidently. The typography overlaps the open sky area and partly sits above the central figure.
The artwork has a cut-paper or collage-like look, combining clean silhouette shapes with fine printed-looking musical notation and soft, painterly colour fields. The sharp black and coloured angular accents contrast with the diffuse background and the white figures.
What the image evokes.
The figures seem caught in a shared movement, each extending an arm or stepping into the surrounding space. Their musical notation makes them feel less like portraits than bodies temporarily turned into pages of a score. Some are blank and simple; others carry the lines and marks across their torsos and limbs, as though music is passing through a crowd rather than belonging to a single performer.
There is a playful tension between weightlessness and motion. The soft, almost watery colours suggest a sky or a dream, while the dark angular shapes underneath the figures resemble shadows that have slipped out of alignment. The result feels buoyant but slightly uncanny: the people float, dance or walk across an uncertain surface, and the viewer is left to decide which movement is taking place.
The paper-like silhouettes and layered fragments recall handmade theatre scenery or a lively cut-out animation. Against that irregular play, the bold title has the clarity of a sign or banner. The image holds together as a small, open-air stage: bright, communal and musical, yet not entirely settled into one scene.
