It could be read as reflection, memory, or simply two exposures held together; the cover leaves those possibilities open. Its monochrome palette and soft glow recall older portrait photography, but the ghosted overlap and luminous lettering also lend it a dreamlike, cinematic quality. The light at the upper left feels almost like a source just outside the frame, and the surrounding darkness gives the faces a stage-like isolation. The result is at once intimate and distant: the profiles are close enough to seem in conversation, yet the haze and shadow keep them just beyond reach.
